Returned to an extra-curricular status, the book was designed for fuller coverage with addition- al pages, more color photogra- phy and a fall delivery. Gaucho Day, graduation activi- ties, and a full coverage of spring sports were included because of the decision for summer produc- tion and a fall delivery date. Edi- tors Oldham and Strauss at- tempted to include a larger cov- erage of Continuing Education activities in their stress on a complete yearbook.

Forensics club Intercollegiate Forensics is de- signed to provide an opportunity for students to develop proficiency in areas of expository speaking, persuasion, argumentation, and oral interpretation of literature. While achieving a mastery of these areas the student acquires under- standings and skills which will en- able him to increase his effec- tiveness in the social, political, ar- tistic, and professional environ- ment in which we live. The students of Intercollegiate Forensics have tested their speaking skills at tournaments which involved col- leges and universities from throughout the Southwestern and Pacific Coast areas. Forensic trips to institutions such as the Univer- sity of California at Santa Barbara, El Camino College, Los Angeles Pierce College and the University of Arizona have proven successful and rewarding.
