ords and music from the twelfth centur The Madrigal Singers under the direction of Mary Ann Dutton study and present music from the twelfth through the fifteenth cen- turies. The group which is selected through auditions consists of four- teen members. Songs studied are taken from the works of Morley, Purcell, di Lasso, and their con- temporaries. Modern composers are also studied. The group has performed before the University Club, at Sun City, for the Farm Bureau Convention, and before many other civic and fraternal groups in the Phoenix area. Laura Kurtzman, Paula Mar- key, Frances Brown, Carolyn Dotterer, Jenny Krueger, Carolyn Stanford, Linda The choir has acquired remark- able stature in the three years of its existence. The students participat- ing in the choral activities have a wonderful opportunity to release their energies in a worthwhile and exciting experience. In addition, this is a tremendous cultural outlet for the participants. Included in the many perform- ances the choir gives throughout the year are appearances in college assemblies, concerts in high schools, and formal concerts, one held during the Christmas season and the other in the spring. There are many fine experiences and friendships formed during the year. Picnics and social functions, as well as hard work, make the choir an outstanding group on campus and in the community. 144 Wagg.
