Senior Class Board needed to raise funds for activities such as the Homecoming float, senior breakfast, mid-year and .June graduations. Titan Olym- ipies and the seniorgift to the school. Although Senior Class was in the hole S500 at the beginning of the year, it subse- quently pulled itself out by conducting carnation sales, ob- taining a loan from Student Council, and with the help of fellow Titans. g In addition to this financial setback,.Athe class, biggest dis- appointment was being dis- qualified in the .Homecoming float contest because it did not finish the construction within the allotted time. Even though they knew they would be dis- qualified, seniors continued to construct through the early morning hours in order to fin- ish the float for the following day's parade. With this unification, the Senior Class went on to break the school record for Senior Class food cans by collecting 4,123 for Onward House. By accumulating all these cans, seniors aided GBS in defeating GBN in the rivalry between the two schools. Our class has a lot of poten- tial, enthusiasm and ability, With everyone's cooperation, I feel that our class has definite- ly shown that when we put our minds to something, we can do it, 'commented president Me- lanie Corolis.
