Study still in store for grads released after first semester 13 from Class of '82 choose January option to start college and career training before June If a student at Glenbrook South acquires credits by the end of the first semester of his senior year, he has the privelege to graduate early. This year I6 people took the option. I left Glenbrook South early to get a job. Later on I intend to further my education at college, stated mid-year graduate Chuck Latimer. The graduation ceremony took place in the Instructional Materials Center. The gradu- ates received their diplomas Friday, Jan. 22. Graduation addresses were given by Kip Kelley, Indy Birk, and Tim Thoelecke. The diplomas were presented by board of educa- Howard Anderson congratulates John Clonts after handing him his diploma. The benedic- tion was given by Student Council vice-presi- dent Moira McDonald. Most graduates took the option of early graduation so they could get a full time job before going to further their education. Graduate Donna Rikje expalined, I plan to go to beauty school in Fall, but since classes don't start till then, I'm working to help pay for them. The graduates in the mid-year graduation were Nelson Cardenas, John Clonts, Mark Heverly, James Knapp, Charles Latimer, Angela McCabe, Martin Murphy, Evelyn Naylor, Jennifer Nugent, Christine Pearson, Donna Rikje, Elizabeth Tranter, Roslynn Wilde.
