Teachers settle down at outh Choosing a career is a very important aspect in everyone's life. Not only is choosing the right career important, but finding an enjoyable place to work is essential. Glenbrook South teachers for instance, made the decision to be part of Southis faculty for various rea- sons. One important factor in many teachers' decisions to work at South included the lo- cation ofthe school. Art teacher Mr. Tim Mincey enters through the back doors to begin an- other day of school. I attended Western Illinois University, and in order to re- ceive credit in my degree, I was sent to GBS to student teach. The location was convenient for me because I lived in Sko- kie and it was close by, ex- plained Mr. Doug Kornelly, English teacher. Another aspect that has a major influence on many teachers is the reputation of South. Mr. Robert Schoenwetter, history teacher, stated, I lived in Wisconsin and came here to visit friends from college. While I was here, my friends recommended GBS to me as being the best in the area. They even said that it was superior to above-average schools in Wis- cousin. Even after many years of teaching at South, teachers still look upon South with as much, if not more, admiration than when they first began teaching. I am still glad that I chose to teach at South. All of my expectations have been ful- filled here, commented Mr. Richard Gregory, driver's ed teacher. E-I . c . Q.-.. .SW H' . i T 'l ,O Q. af y.
