3 RECORD BREAKING YEAR F OR TRACKER The 1979 Wilson Track Teams have done a fantastic jobg at mid season tl Varsity Team had a 2-1-1 record, Junior Varsity had a 2-2 record, and tl Frosh Soph had a 3-1 record. The Varsity opened with 68-68 tie with Sou Hills, beat 103-33 maintaining track dominance over Los Altos, beat l Puente 105-31, and lost an exciting meet to West Covina 51-85. In the Wei Covina meet three school records were broken: El Cid DeRamus establish' a new school record in the 44-0 with a 50.4-, Tom Odgers threw the di 154-' 9 and Kent Miller furthered his mark at 44'W in the triple jum Ken Souza, a freshman, established a new freshmen record in tl two mile with 10:23, and Tim Harmon became the third best sh putter in Wilson history with a put of 4-9'8 .
