All week one could feel the tension and excitement in the air, A t battle for the wheel had begun. any of the students para ticipated in lunchtime activities, egg throwing, stuffed animal day, and mourning day. g On ,Se tember 22, 1978, the deter- mined Wildcats met with the Conquer- ors, ranked 4-th in theCalifomia Inter- scholastic Football KCIFQ polls. Inside the overcrowded stadium, the! Wildcats dominated, throu hout the game as they cmshed the Cgonquerors. With 55 seconds left in the third quarter, the Conquerors finally scored a touch- down. The game ended with the Wild, cats beating the? ranked, contenders with a score of 21-7. FOREIGN EXCHANGE Wilson had the pleasure of having a foreign exchange student, Chris Avril. Chris is 18 and lives in Tours, France. Chris met many people and made many friends as well. Some of Chris' good friends are Jeff Gooze, Stuart Gilder, Ross Biddle, Claudio Wein- stein, and Doug Weinstein. Chris had been to Kn0tt's Berry Farm, Disneyland, the beach, the mountains, San Diego Zoo, and Sea World. While he was at Sea World Chris had the pleasure of being kissed by Shamu The Killer Whale. Chris also enjoys tennis, swimming, ceramics, and going to the beach. Chris loves America and has been to ten countries.
