i Y-E' il . 'Ply WITH LOVE THERE The Wilson's Girls' Varsity Tennis Team, eoaehed hy Mrs. L. Hollander had a great competitive '78 season. They ended their season with 111- wins and 2 losses lying with Walnut for lst place. In C.l.F. lst round eompelilion they won 15-3 against Lowell H.S. lVl.V.P. was Naney Allison. The douhles team, ,laekie Strey and Liz Kewitsch, had entered the C.l.F. Individuals vompetition. Nancy Allison and Liz Kewitseh made All-Sierra League first team: .lat-kie Slrey and Diane Bohlke made seeond team. ,laekie Strey was the most iniproved-inspira- tional player of the team. The J.V. team coached by Naney Graves had a good year too. They lied in league for 3rd place with Rowland HS. with 9 wins and 7 losses. XM :-, C.I.F. HERE WE ARE This year the Girls Swim Team has been excellent. The season started February 28 with the promise of a high finish in Sierra League, CIF, and as always, in the nation. Among the many invinsible girls in swimming are Captains Jill Sterkel and Julie Franciso, Ann Linde, Cindy Bodensdedt, Jodi Sterkel, Mary Birdsell, Sally Ryan, Lisa Martin, Regina Pfer- froth, Mary Kohane, Joanne Sodja, and Beth Salter. Other Var- sity members include Debby Trinkle, Ingrid Arriola and Mari- beth Ferrall. The J .V. team includes Denise Wilson, Joanne Carter, Anne Feece, Denise Aniles, Lorraine Aoyo, Shelly Crinager, Caro Alvarez, Ann Gorman, Michon Morphine, Vilma San- chez and Karen Tanscher. Credit must be given to Coach Massey for devoting much time, patience, and effort to the fantastic team.
