Hlilllllllll EUHTUWH The Recreation Committee is one of the most active and conscientious groups in the school. Through its efforts, Friday night has become quite enjoy- able with dancing and many other varied activities. The zenith of their efforts, however, is the annual recreation show, an event looked forward to by the entire town. HESEUHM EUHUUWH For its motto this committee has chosen "no assembly is better than a bad onef' Under the eagle-eye of Mr. Cook many of the poorer prospects for assemblies have been weeded out, and the ones that we have had have been enjoyable and profitable. SHWWESMWU The members of this conscientious group did their best to keep out the fence climbers by a competent and sharp-eyed guarding of the box of- fices and entrances. Under the super- vision of energetic and etlicient Mr. Sampsel, they effectively organized the selling of tickets and programs at athletic contests. Under the able leadership of Miss Szackas, Mrs. Hudson, Miss Mueller. and Mrs. Carr, all members of the faculty, the program has become varied and interesting. In the fall, hockey is stressed on the intra- mural and interscholastic levels. Any girl who likes hockey can find a place in the hockey pic- ture by playing, ofliciating, or managing. Basket- ball, volleyball, and softball are set up in the same way. In addition to these seasonal sports, modern dance, and archery for all grades, con- tinue from September to May. Tennis instruc- tion is provided for seventh and eighth grade girls from March through May, and a tennis team engages in many interscholastic matches in the fall and spring. s s? - . 4- Hb' . G.R. placed third by defeating Col- lege High easily but then, by losing two very close games to Montclair and Caldwell. Glen Ridge also played Bloomfield, Verona, and a second game with Caldwell.
