That was the order for every Tattler reporter who wanted to keep his job. Working under Editors Steve Salemson and Jill Kendall, and faculty advisor, Mrs. Determan, each staff worked hard to make Tattler an interesting and successful newspaper. In addition to its monthly issues, the paper published a Christmas supplement and a Senior Bulletin in June. New Tattler Editors: Left to Right, J. Kaplan and A. Sandler. Profile Editors: FIRST ROW; Left to Right, B. Lewis, Editor-in-Chief; W. Myer, Literory Editor, SECOND ROW: P. Graf, Business Manager; J. Christian, Asst. Literary Editor; R. Nash, Managing Editor; S. Benedict, Art Editor; C. Bee, Asst. Art Editor; G. Wotzak, Photography Editor. PROFILE Strange sounds emerged from deep within the confines of Room 208 as Profile Editors chortled over their latest captions, stealthily hid milk containers and sandwich wrappers from the eyes of Mr. Bentley, and knocked frantically on the door which can be opened only from the outside. Aside from Profile work, our editors became experts at foul-shooting into the wastebasket, blank verse and the pros and cons of beatniks. The Profile staff even witnessed the abduction of the unabridged dictionary from the library by several prankish seniors. Yes, Profile has the low-down on the seniors and after a year of hard work we're only too glad to say WE'VE HAD IT!! Now you've got it and we hope you like itl Someday we really must get organized. Barbara Lewis checks over the ladder. 'The deadline is tomorrow? Mike Berens doesn't know whether to laugh or cry. Profile Staff below: FIRST ROW: Left to Right, T. Zendle, N. Rogerson, J. BAND AND CHORUS This year the band added something new to its ranks — a student leader. Linda McCleary was chosen to lead the band as an experimental drum major. She did an excellent job, and it is expected that this new position will be continued. The band took part in many school activities this year. These included playing at the football games, the Memorial Day Parade, and at the annual Jones Beach Concert. Glen Cove High School was also represented by the band at the Long Island Fair, an exhibition of musical skills, in which a number of Long Island schools participated. GLEN COVE HIGH SCHOOL BAND 30
