Julius Putola, head custodian, checks school equipment to make sure that it is in good working condition. The cafeteria staff takes charge of filling the stomachs of hundreds of students, tired and hungry after a four and a half hour stretch of classes. They always serve a delicious lunch at the lowest prices in town. If you have ever tried to wrestle with an obstinate locker or tried to sharpen your pencil in a pencil sharpener spewing shavings, then you realize the value of our custodial staff. They keep the school and all the equipment in good working condition. 8TAFFS Cafeteria Staff: left to right: R. Putala, R. Nelson, I. Smith, W. Dowling, not pictured, F. Hancock. Guidance Staff Mrs. Carmody and Mrs. Litchman, always ready with a smile, a guidance pass, or a transcript. STAFFS To operate, our school needs more than just teachers. It needs a large group of indispensables who perform the many tasks that keep a school running smoothly. These people behind the scenes make up the office, guidance, medical, cafeteria, and custodial staffs. The office staff handles all of the clerical work which includes absentees lists, student records, and of course detention passes. Coping with interview schedules and college transcripts keeps the guidance staff busy. The medical staff is responsible for the health and well being of Glen Cove High students and their patience with the strange maladies they are confronted with day after day is endless.
