.3 Track Spring brought out Glen Cove High's Varsity Track Team in full force. Although the overall record for the season was not overwhelming, the team produced many pleasant thrills as the track and fieldmen strained for that last fraction of an inch. However, the Covers were on the wrong end of a 3-2 count four times, and wound up with a 3-5 record in the league. Harry Rapelie led the team in wins and was followed by the duo of Bruce Ferris and Matt Young. Anything can happen at these after-school volleyball and basketball games. Not only do the girls play ball, but they also serve as referees, and timekeepers.
