Announcing Our Annual Contest Beginning in September of any year and ending in June four years later, Glen Cove High School plays host to hundreds of qualified contestants who, through their learning experiences and their social relationships with each other, try to put into practice the democratic ideals of living, learning, and working together co-operatively and harmoniously. In so doing, the contestants enrich their own lives and the lives of others by contributing to, and fostering the growth of a democratic atmosphere. Entrants must comply with the following regulations: 1. Must be a G.C.H.S. student. 2. May be either girl or boy. 3. May be freshman, sophomore, junior or senior. 4. May take general, academic, or commercial course. 5. No entries may be returned. 6. All awards based on ability. The extent to which the Class of 1956 rates as a contestant may be seen and evaluated from the forthcoming pages.
