DOROTHY HINDE Dot” conceals her quiet manner behind a lively sense of humor, and is ever-ready for fun. Her tall gracefulness is one of her many assets; a cheerful and friendly way, another. Thus we have a picture of Dot”—a truly well-liked senior, and everyone's friend. Activities: Biology Club 2; French Club 1, 2. JOAN HOLLEY If your morale needs a boost, Joan is the girl who can do it. With her jokes and witty remarks, no one in her presence is able to remain glum for very long. Besides being both loquacious and humorous, Joan excels in sports. Activities: Glee Club 1, 2, 3, 4; Spanish Club 1, 2; Interclass Volleyball 4; Interclass Basketball 1, 2, 3, 4; Interclass Softball 1, 2, 3, 4. MARIE HOLLEY Although Marie is quiet and reserved, this soft-spoken senior can lend a helping hand on any athletic field very well. Marie’s pleasant voice has added greatly to the success of both Glee Club and Choraleer presentations. In addition to her fine personality, her appreciation of humor helps make Marie an outstanding person to know. Activities: Glee Club 1, 2, 3, 4; Choralcers 4; Interclass Volleyball 2, 3; Interclass Softball 1, 2, 3, 4. RUBY JOHNSTON Ruby is a typical southern belle” and a pretty one, too. Having a family with Southern background, she is known for her many you alls. She remained the possessor of long, pretty brown hair after the New Look” took Glen Cove by storm. We admire you for your individualism. Ruby. Keep that sunshine smile aglow! Activities: Glee Club 3, 4; Interclass Basketball 2, 3; Varsity Basketball 4; History Club 4; Interclass Volleyball. MARY ANN JONES A sudden burst of energy, twinkling eyes, dancing feet and we have a glimpse of Bubbles”, so vitally alive. Glen Cove’s gain was California’s loss when Mary Ann arrived at our school in her Junior year. Her friendship has a special place in our hearts and we know that Bubbles’ ” cup of success will fill to the brim. Activities: Commercial Club 3, 4; Glee Club 1, 2; Interclass Basketball 1, 3, 4; Intcrclass Volleyball 3, 4; Interclass Badminton 3, 4; Bowling Club 3. JANE KATZ Janie,” a petite, energetic Senior, is one of the most outstanding members of our Class. The untiring efforts she has displayed in working for the Class have won her the honor of having done most for the Class of 1950.” When Jane is not occupied with one of her many activities, she spends her time being a sweet, charming girl. TWEED HUNTER Tweed is one of the best-mannered personalities in the Senior Class. His sense of humor accompanies him wherever he goes, and has helped him acquire a multitude of friends. All who know Tweed agree that this typical Glen Cove High School student is bound to be successful in future life. JOHN KENNY Without a personality like John’s in our midst, class work would soon become monotonous and dull. For he supplies the spark that ignites a humorous conflagration many times during the day. We are certain that John’s good nature and varied interests will not fail him on the road to success. Activities: Basketball 2; Football 2, 3; Executive Committee 4.

SAUL GOLDSTEIN Known to all as Jeep,” Saul is extremely good-natured and cooperative. Ambitious, especially in play, he can often be seen in his peppy little 1935 Plymouth. His secret ambition is to have his car sprout wings. We know that Saul has a very good future in store for him. Activities: Football 2; Track 1, 2; Interclass Basketball 1, 2, 3, 4; Letter-men's Club 1, 2, 3, 4; Spanish Club 4. ROBERT GOODMAN Goodie” is an all-round good” fellow. The Class of '50 is fortunate to have such a conscientious and willing worker, one who helped out so freely whenever called upon. The other half of Robert's personality reveals a true fun-jesting nature, as any fun lover will vouch for. Activities: Latin Club 1, 2, 3; Biology Club 2; Football 1, 2; Interclass Basketball 1, 2, 3, 4; Photography Club 1. HELEN GREEN Extremely talented in the field of music, Helen is already well along the road to success. After school she hopes to attend the world-renowned Julliard School of Music, to which she possesses, at present, a partial scholarship. Keep up the good work and we’ll see you at the Met”, Helen! ELEANOR HARRIS We will long remember much about Eleanor—her lovely blond hair, her smart clothes, her little blue car, and above all, her charming personality. A girl with as many attributes as Eleanor, could not fail to be popular among her classmates. Activities: Bowling Club 4; Varsity Basketball 1, 2, 3, 4; Interclass Basketball 1, 2, 3, 4; Interclass Volleyball I, 2, 3, 4; Safety Council 2; Glee Club 1, 2, 3, 4; Usherettes Club 4; Commercial Club 2, 3, 4; Orchestra 1. BARBARA HELMINSKI Barbara has become popular among her teachers and classmates, largely due to her friendly manner. It’s natural that people arc attracted by her warm smile, and once they meet her, she has little trouble retaining them as life-long friends. Activities: Band 4. ANN HENDERSON Ann could well be described as tall, attractive, and loquacious. Her skill in sports can be compared to her skill in keeping her many friends amused, for she excels in both. Much of Ann’s time is spent developing her artistic ability. After graduation, she plans to enter the nursing profession. BARBARA HAMMEL An avid sport's fan, Barbara enjoys both watching and participating in basketball, volleyball, and soft-ball. She can enjoy a joke too, for she has a broad sense of humor and can keep all in high spirits. Those who meet her in the future will not be in need of a friend when Barbara is around. ROBERT HICKS Robert, known to everyone as Hicksie”, is a familiar figure in Glen Cove High. Robert is a friend to all and you can easily see he enjoys living and works Ijard at it. His cheerful personality and pleasing smile, topped off by intelligence; assures him of future success. MARGARET LESLIE Called “Mag” for short, she has a little name for a little girl. She’s “cute as a bug's ear” and has been seen at all football and basketball games cheering with the best of them. Although cheerleading activities occupy most of her time, Margaret still enjoys bowling and dancing. Activities: Spanish Club 2, 3, 4; Cheerleading 3, 4; Masquers 2, 3, 4; l ibrary Club 2, 3, 4; Tattler 2, 3; Bowling 4; Interclass Basketball 2, 4; Latin Club 2; Interclass Volleyball 4. CAMILLE MACCARONE Loyalty to friends and willingness to cooperate are phrases that best describe Camille. With a reserved manner, Camille takes part in most of our social functions. Her jolly, happy-go-lucky nature will take her far and win for her many friends. Quick on the uptake, her rapid repartee has kept us all amused. Gifted with personality and a friendly manner, she is sure to be a success in her chosen profession. Good luck Marlyn! ISABEL MacLEOD One of the topnotch Commercial students in her class, Isabel is known for her rosy-cheeked smile which she never fails to use. Although she is quiet and reserved, a quick sense of humor is one of her most valuable assets, going hand in hand with an everlasting loyalty to her friends. Activities: Commercial Club 2, 3, 4— Treasurer 4; Library Club 4; PROFILE 4; Masquers 4; Alpha 4. JOHANNA KOLOCKOVSKY Lively, sweet, and always prepared for fun, Johanna is a favorite among her companions. This cute Senior excels in sports, and has led many a basketball team to victory. A natural born tease. Jo, is always merry and joking, and her cheerful smile is constantly on display. STEPHEN KOLOCKOVSKY Big Steve has. for the past three years, given Glen Cove High his sparkling personality—in return for which he has earned many friends. He bartered his sporting skill for the honor of All-Scholastic End on the Nassau County Championship Soccer Team. Steve’s ability in the soccer field also earned him captaincy of our successful team. Activities: Soccer 1, 2, 4; Captain 4; Glee Club 2, 3. 4; Baseball 1; Basketball 1. MARILYN KENYON A glance at Marilyn’s many and varied school accomplishments leaves one slightly awed. Both in school and out. she’s here, there, and everywhere. In short, a rare personality, bubbling over with enthusiasm and intellect. One of these, his height, helps to explain Don’s great ability on the basketball court. Always joking, he provides those listening with many good laughs. His carefree manner draws people to him and is the magnet responsible for his long list of friends.
