WILLIAM DOXEY There's an easy way to recognize Bill , and everyone of his classmates know what it is. Just look for eyes and a grin that spell mischief, plus a witty and joking manner that spells fun, and there he is. Activities: Biology Club 2; Spanish Club 1; Track I; Baseball 1, 2, 3; Band 2, 3; Dance Orchestra 2. JOHN FARNAN This easy-going boy is a familiar sight to all Glen Covites, for he can usually be found in one of the town's many heaps” riding through our thoroughfares. A good looking boy, John is also a good student, but concentrates his efforts mainly on the athletic field. His contributions to our outstanding football team were highly commendable. Activities: Latin Club 1; Biology Club 2; Basketball 2; Football 4; Lcttcrman's Club 4; Tattler 4. GORDON DUCK Gordon is affectionately called Duck” by his classmates who find him a friendly, likeable chap with a lively sense of humor. When a good joke has been told, look around and you’re sure to find Gordon. He has a positive passion for stockcars and hot rods, and we predict that he'll go places in a hurry! Activities: Latin Club 1, 2; Biology Club 2; Interclass Basketball 2, 3. EDNA FARRINGTON Edna is a very likeable and good-natured person with an adventuresome spirit and a flair for anything novel or a little out of the ordinary. She is also very attractive with lovely blonde hair and blue eyes. Edna is a girl whom Glen Cove High can well be proud of. Activities: Commercial Club 2, 3, 4; History Club 4; Interclass Volleyball 4; Intcrclass Basketball 2, 3, 4; Interclass Badminton 2, 3, 4. FRANK EGAN Frank, according to his many friends, is a swell” guy. Upon first meeting him. he appears quiet and reserved; however, he-is actually the possessor of a sparkling personality and is both friendly and witty. Frank is undecided as to what he will do after graduation, but we arc certain that he will be successful in any career he may choose. CONCETTA FLOCCARI Small, but oh my” is a phrase which fits cute Concetta to a T.” It has been said that all nice things come in small packages and this easily applies to her. Although tiny, she is peppy and her athletic prowess has been acknowledged many times. Activities: Commercial Club 1, 2, 3, 4; Interclass Basketball 1, 2, 3, 4; Interclass Volleyball 1, 2, 3, 4; Interclass Badminton 2, 3, 4. RICHARD FANNING Whatever it is that wins friends and influences people,” Rich has. Maybe it’s his sense of humor, his perpetual pleasantness, or perhaps his prowess on the football field. Anyway, in Rich” they combine together perfectly. Activities: Football 2, 3, 4; Letter-men’s Club 3, 4; Spanish Club 2. ALFRED FLOEGEL A new-comer this year to Glen Cove, Al” is a pleasant addition to our Senior Class. It is only natural, for who wouldn’t welcome a boy who seems to be always smiling, and ever-ready to join in the fun?

ROBERT CUNNINGHAM Bob, with his ready smile and ability to play the trumpet, is one of the best-liked boys of our Senior Class. Girls consider him cute and boys . like him for being a swell guy. His cooperative nature and splendid personality make him a welcome addition to any group. Activities: Band 1,2, 3, 4—President 4; Orchestra 2, 3, 4; Latin Club 1, 2; Masquers 3, 4; Track 3, 4; Soccer 1. TESS1E CZAJKOWSKI This attractive girl is known to most of her friends as Tess. To know her is to like her, for she is the fortunate possessor of a sparkling personality and is always ready with a helping hand and willing heart. Activities: Glee Club 1, 2; Mixed Choir I, 2; Commercial Club I, 2, 3, 4; Tattler 3, 4; Intcrclass Basketball 3, 4; Interclass Volleyball 4; Photography Club 4; Executive Committee 4; PROFILE 4. JEAN CZARNECKI Jennie’s undying loyalty to the Red and Green” has inspired many a team. A pert little bundle of bliss, Jennie is also the possessor of an extraordinary laugh which can be heard echoing through the halls of Senior Alley during one of her many joyful moods. Activities: Cheerleading 2, 3, 4; Interclass Basketball 1, 2, 3, 4; Interclass Volley Ball 4; Commercial Club 2, 3. FRANCES DEL FERRARO Frances is a perfect lady, refined, and charming in an unassuming way. She has attracted us by her unaffected manner, her continual chccriness, and her joyous optimism. She is sincerely thoughtful of others, the outstanding quality that makes her a person well worth knowing. Activities: Band 1, 2, 3, 4—Secretary 4; PROFILE 4; Intcrclass Volleyball 4. TADRY DOMAGALA Tad”, a friendly senior, is a favorite of students and teachers alike. His genial personality is an excellent reason for his popularity. Seldom letting a dull moment go by, Tad’s amusing antics and sudden outbursts have brightened many a class. Activities: French Club 2, 3, 4—President 4; Biology Club 2; Soccer Manager 2; Interclass Basketball 1, 2, 3, 4; Bowling Club 4; Golf 3. 4; PROFILE 4—Advertising Manager. JOHN DONALDSON John is rated tops in the senior class—and he well deserves the honor. He has become popular mainly due to his joviality, and because he has been a go getter” for his class. Most at home in the chem lab”, John has added a special spark to the class. Activities: Vice President 2; Baseball 3, 4; Boxing 2; Football I, 2, 3; Interclass Basketball I, 2, 3, 4; Interclass Softball 2. Biology Club 2; Spanish Club 2, 3; Executive Committee 4; PROFILE 4: Color Bearer 4. KENNETH DANIS Kenny” is the popular Senior who is noted for his good humor, his Irish cap, and his Model A. Ken” is everyone’s friend. We will long remember him for his skill on the football team as well as his willing participation in all his many other activities. Activities: Football 2, 3. 4; Spanish Club 2, 3; Latin Club 1; Interclass Basketball 1, 2, 3; Interclass Softball 1, 2; Executive Committee 4; Letter-men’s Club 4. PETER DORAN Pete” will long be remembered for the active part he played as a member of the Class of '50. In addition to his many activities, we should list his charm and pursuasiveness, perhaps responsible for the way he talked himself out of jams.” Teachers never seem to mind succumbing to his wishes. JOAN FLORSTEDT Joan was a newcomer Co Glen Cove High two years ago but in the short time she’s been with us she's made herself well-known and well-liked. Joan is usually bubbling over with enthusiasm for new activities and for life in general. She has a good word (with a cute German accent) for everyone. Her coming to the United States was Berlin’s loss and our gain. Activities: French Club 3, 4; Biology Club 3; PROFILE 4; Masquers 3, 4. LUCILLE FORGIONE Lucille is known to all of us as Gee Gee.” This friendly girl is just bubbling with an infectious laugh and a keen sense of humor. Her excellent participation in sports is not all the school spirit that she displays, for her cooperation in all Senior activities is helpful. Activities: Biology Club 2; Masquers 2, 3, 4; Executive Committee 4; PROFILE 4; Latin Club 1; Safety Council I, 2; Intcrclass Basketball 1, 2, 3, 4; Interclass Softball 1, 2, 3, 4; Varsity Basketball 2, 3, 4. FLORENCE GABRUS Hair of gold, eyes of blue”—that’s Flo. Flo is one of the most talented members of the Senior Class, as everyone who has seen her art work can well verify. She is also outstanding for her sunny disposition and sense of humor. Activities: Latin Club 1, 2, 3; Glee Club 2, 4; Masquers 1, 2, 3; Tattler 3, 4; Interclass Basketball I, 2; Biology Club 3: Photography Club 2; Bowling Club 4; PROFILE 4. RICHARD GARDNER Since Dick” so recently came to Glen Cove from Massachusetts, too few of us have had the pleasure of really knowing him. However, in the short time he has been here, everyone has noticed how easily he fits in . Already he has become a favorite, and the Class of ’50 thanks Brook line, Massachusetts, for sending Dick” tf us. Activities: Spanish Club 2, 3—Vice-President 3; Band 3, 4. CARMELLA FRANCO Carmella’s most distinguishing feature is her flaming hair. As unusual as it is to find such gleaming tresses, so is it unusual to find a girl with so sweet a disposition and such perfect manners as Carmel la possesses. It is the good fortune of the Class of ’50 that Carmella is among their number. Activities: Glee Club 1, 2, 3, 4; Spanish Club 2, 3. CONSTANCE GERMAIN The name by which she is best known is Connie , and Connie” is a swell girl who is full of fun. She is usually smiling and has a cute giggle which perhaps is the result of her keen sense of humor. Connie also has her serious side, for she is very capable and does her work consci-entously. Activities: Commercial Club I, 2, 3, 4; Photography Club 4; Interclass Basketball 3. 4; Tattler 4; PROFILE 4. VINCENT FRIGERIA Although Vincent is a fast man on the diamond where he is known as Mr. Short Stop”, he also handles a basketball with equal agility. He is well-liked by his teammates and. while taking both these sports very seriously, still has the time and talent to put over a few good-natured quips when the occasion demands them. Activities: Baseball 1, 2, 3, 4; Letter-men’s Club 3, 4; Basketball 2, 3, 4: Football 2. MARY GIORDANO Take one large measure of charm, spice with some wit, add a contagious laugh and a talent for writing, and you will have the recipe for Mary. Although at times she displays a care-free air, she also has proved herself to be serious-minded. Activities: Latin Club I, 2; Masquers 2, 3, 4—Secretary-Treasurer 4; Alpha 3, 4; Library Club 4; Tattler 2, 3; PROFILE 4; History Club 3; Biology Club 2.
