In ittimtnriant “Build thee more stately mansions, O my soul, As the swift seasons roll! Leave thy low-vaulted past! Let each new temple, nobler than the last, Shut thee from heaven with a dome more vast, Till thou at length art free, Leaving thine outgrown shell by life’s unresting sea! The Chambered Nautilus”—01iver Wendell Holmes GLEN COVE HIGH SCHOOL GLEN COVE N. Y. p reden td : YEARS OUR LIVES LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION FORWARD “All the world’s a stage-” With this familiar quotation in mind, we of the Senior Class of 1948 take great pleasure in presenting to you our production, “The Best Years of Our Lives. The curtain slowly rises and reveals a large cast working together in com-plete harmony. Under the skillful direction of Mr. Walter Smith and his assistants, this group has been carefully coached so that each may play his part well. Most of the action takes place in Glen Cove High School, which is indeed a beautiful setting. As the various acts are successfully completed, one realizes that much cooperative effort has been put forth to make the show a success. The finale soon draws near and each showman becomes increasingly aware of the fact that the play will soon be over. When the curtain is finally drawn the cast senses that “The Best Years of Our Lives” has been in reality a memorable success. It has given to each one the experience and knowledge so necessary for future successful productions. BOARD OF EDUCATION Lejt to right. Ethel S.
