Surprising as it is, this diminutive Fallo is a very good golfer, who has won prizes in tournaments for boys at the local golf courses. In school his warm smile and quiet humor help him to be well-liked by his fellow classmates. MARY FAMIGLIETTI And she who loves not others, lives unblest. —Home. Mary is that brown-haired senior whose slight frame houses the energy of two persons as well as a heart of gold. Her friendliness and down to earth goodness are two good reasons why she is the fine person she is. Activities: Commercial Club 4; Photography Club 4; Class Secretary ANNA FAMULATTE The best of me is diligence. —Shakespeare. Anna's friendly personality and willingness to get ahead have made her high school years very profitable. She is known for hercooperativeness and the manner in which she handles difficult tasks. Keenly interested in sports, Anna hopes to carry on this interest by becoming a physical education teacher. Although Mary is rather quiet, she is cm eager participant in our class activities. Amiable and considerate of everyone, we indeed recognize her as a true friend. She has chosen to become a teacher and is now studying hard to fulfill her ambition. Activities: French Club 3, 4; Latin Club 1, 2; Safety Council 2; Glee Club 1, 2. X THOMAS FITZPATRICK See how the world its veterans rewards! A youth of frolics, an old age of cards. —Pope. Tommy , after having spent some time on the bounding main in the blues of the Navy, has returned to these halls to pick up the ends which the war caused him to drop; and in him the Class of '47 has found a person who is as fun loving and as devilish as ever his Irish ancestors were. In addition to a flair for poetry, he has a Southern drawl that has had the girls positively drooling . GORDON FORBES He who did well in war just earns the right To begin doing well in peace. —Robert Browning. The Deacon is a tall, blond, ex-sailor whose personality curl is always falling in his eyes. He returned to high school after spending twenty-six months on the high seas during which time he literally saw the world. His charm and devil-may-care attitude make him a welcome member in any group.

JERRY DORAN Thou'rt such a touchy, testy, pleasant fellow. —Martial. Jerry is the possessor of a good-natured dispostion and this accounts for his long list of friends. He is particularly known as a sharp dresser and a wonderful dancer. Outstanding are his eyes, which portray his liveliness and good-humor. Activities: Library Club 2, 3; Tattler 1; Spanish Club 2. 3, 4; Masquers 2, 3, 4; Basketball Manager 2. FREDERICK EGGERS He was a man, take him all in all, I shall not look upon his like again. —Shakespeare. Quiet and good-humored, Fred takes a great interest in sports. As a member of our newly formed soccer squad, he played a splendid game in behalf of our school, always fighting hard, but displaying true fairness and sportsmanship. The amazing part is that he had never played soccer before this year. Fred also is an excellent boxer. Activities: Soccer 4; Spanish Club 4. BETTY DOWNING Her locks are finest gold in ground. —Spencer. An attractive girl and the lucky possessor of shining blonde locks and stately height, Betty can be found rooting for the home team at any Glen Cove High sports event. Her fine school spirit has made her a valuable and well-liked member of the Senior Class. Betty is really a grand girl to know. Activities: French Club 2, 3, 4; Interclass Basketball 1, 2, 3; Masquers 2, 3, 4. KENNETH ELBAUM Of science and logic he chatters. As fine and as fast as he can, Though I am no judge of such matters, I'm sure he's a talented man. —Praed. Kenny is the jovial type of Senior, full of fun, laughter and corny jokes. He wins many friends and is always ready to help when he is called upon. Kenny, who is greatly interested in photography as a hobby, was an important addition to the PROFILE staff. HELEN DOXEY Her beauty hangs upon the cheek of night. Like a rich jewel in an Ethiop's ear. —Shakespeare. Graceful, dignified, yet warm and friendly, Helen has been attending night school in order to follow her career of modeling during the day. With her red-gold hair and her pretty eyes, Helen should be a very attractive model. We all wish her every success. Activities: Commercial Club 1, 2, 3. HELEN EVEROSKI The silence often of pure innocence Persuades, when speaking fails. —Shakespeare. A very quiet and likeable girl is Helen. Always ready with her shy smile and sincere Hello , she is one of our loyal and dutiful Senior Class members. These qualities will help her to make a happy and successful future. JACQUELINE FORD Happy am I; from care I'm free! Why aren't they all contented like me.'' —Opera of La Sonnambula. Jackie's popularity with her classmates runs very high, and this cute little Senior is a sure cure when one is feeling low. Taking photographs of her many friends is her pet hobby. Jackie hopes to enter the secretarial field after being graduated from Glen Cove High School. Activities: Masquers 3, 4; Latin Club 2; Spanish Club 3, 4. MARY FORRESTER Softness and sweetest innocence she wears. —Rowe. Mary is that sincere, quiet type that hears all, sees all, and says something once in a while. Mixed with her quiet ways is her grand sense of humor which makes her a welcome friend. Her silence is but the perfectest herald of joy. Activities: Commercial Club 3, 4. RUSSELL GAMBINO Those who want fewest things are nearest to the Gods. —Socrates. Russ is a lover of the great outdoors; and if you should suddenly go calling cm him, he would probably be found with gun in hand, wandering in the woods near his house, bent on doing some sharp shooting which he claims is his greatest pleasure in life. Quiet and studious, but an allround person is Russ. Activities: Baseball 3; Track 3. GRACE FULLER Grace shaped her limbs, and beauty deck'd her face. —Prior. Grace is the tall, beauteous brunette whose hobby is collecting friends. This is not difficult for her, since she possesses a glowing disposition and is an ardent participant of many social functions and sports. She intends to study nursing at Adelphi. Activities: Library Club 2, 3, 4; Color Guard 4; Orchestra 1, 2, 3; Latin Club 2, 3; Home Room Secretary 2; Band 1, 2, 3, 4; French Club 4; PROFILE 4; Interclass Basketball 1. 2, 3, 4. FRANK GABRUS He had then the grace, too rare in every clime. Of being—a finish'd gentleman from top to toe. —Byron. Frank is a quiet boy, well-mannered and pleasant to know. Frank is both studious and a regular fellow , a rare combination. He always has his pleasant grin ready for those he greets. After graduation, Frank plans to go in for accounting. Popular with every one, Gil never fails to have a smile and friendly word ready for every one she meets, and this more than anything else is responsible for her being so much in demand.
