RONALD MAXON Activities: Kask« tl all 2; Band 2, 3; Glider Club 3. Ronnie is the possessor of the ideal disposition. As we remember, he canie from Locust Valley with the smile that typifies him and he's still wearing it. Tall, easy going, and witty, Ronnie has the reputation of being the best dancer in school. He has his serious side though, as we discovered when he told us his plans on doing architectural work upon graduation. JOHN McCLURE Activities: Latin 1, 2; Spanish 2, 3: Track 2; Basketball 3; Tattler L hull of life and always ready for fun, “Jack is the life of any party or class room. Here is a fellow in whom there is the initiative and ability to succeed in whatever he undertakes. “Jack” holds a pi ace in our hearts as a “regular” classmate and a swell friend. Next year “Jack” plans to enter college to pursue a career as either an accountant or a lawyer. CHARLES McMANUS Activities: Bowling Team. The nickname “Chil” does not ring true when a person describes this Senior’s personality. Charlie is a grand fellow to know and can always be depended upon to do the right thing. Although he is quiet and thoughtful one always knows that he will contribute earnestly to the proceedings whether they call for fun or seriousness. After he graduates “Chil” plans to become an engineer. JOSEPH MARTONE Activities: Football 1, 2, 3, 4; Captain 4; Baseball 1, 2, 3, 4; Spanish Club 3, 4; Track 3, 4. Captain of this year’s grand football team, “Bam” deserves a lot of praise for a job well done. One look at his list of activities will tell you that when Bam goes in for thing, he does it in a big way. This holds true in his social life too. Called “friend” by more people than we can count, his helping hand and encouraging smile lie ready always. After graduation Bam wants to become a football coach. Well, believe us, he could do it. MARGARET McNALLY Activities: Latin Club 2; Spanish 3; Tattler 3, 4; Masquers 2, 3, 4; Glee Club 3, 4; Secretary-Treasurer 4; Senior Play 4. Tall, slim and well-dressed Peg can be found at any Glen Cove High sport game, rooting for the home team! She possesses a great school spirit which makes her a valuable member of the Senior class. A charming personality and sense of humor have made Peggy popular with everybody. Her ability to “get along” with everyone will make it. easy for Peg to succeed in any field. Peggy’s future plans include junior college.

MARY MAGNUSSON Activities: Glee Club 2, 3: Commercial Club 2, 3, 4; Art Club 1. A happy-go-lurky air and a gay nonchalant personality characterize Mary. With a witty sense of humor she is always ready for fun and knows how to have plenty of it. Mary enjoys swimming, skating and art work. Although she is not certain yet as to her career, it probably will be centered upon her artistic ability. DORIS MARTINO Activities: Glee Club 1; Commercial Club 4; Photography Club 4. Peppy and popular, Doris is well liked by all who know her and her cheery smile and giggle are always welcomed. Like most other girls her age, Doris enjoys swimming, dancing, and skating. She has a particular interest in making her own clothes and you can well see why she is one of the best dressed girls in the Senior class. Moody people are her chief dislike. Doris hopes to become a telephone operator. HELEN MAGOULAS Activities: Latin Club 1, 2, 3; Tattler 2, 3, 4; Circulation Manager 3, 4; Masquers 1, 2, 3, 4; Glee Club 1, 2; Basketball 2, 4; Profile 4: Bowling Club 1; Senior Play 4. Recipe for Magoulas: Mix together an ample quantity of vitamins, ambition, noise and laughter, top off with a mass of flamboyant red hair, and serve with loads of generosity. The delightful result is better known as “Red” and is destined for great things in the profession she has chosen as a teacher of physical education. SUSAN MALINARO Activities: Basketball 1,2; Spanish Club 1, 2. “Susie,” a pretty, little brunette is a swell Senior on whom one can always depend. Po sessor of a warm charm ami a radiant personality, “Susie” is a welcome addition to any class room. “Susie” has quite a flare for art work and after school she can be found ushering at our local theatre. You can he sure that “Susie” will All her future occupation as a clerk in a capable manner. MICHAEL MANARI Activities: Art Club 3, 4. “Mike” is an easy going fellow who is known and liked by all his fellow students. Any class room is enlivened when “Mike” is present and he can be seen frequently working in his father’s store. “Mike” enjoys his arts course and contributes many posters for various activities. Our best wishes will certainly go with “Mike,” when he enters the Army after graduation. 8

 EUGENE MERKEL Activities: Profile Business Staff 4; Senior Ball Committee. If ever you have run across a big smile with blue eyes and blonde hair, that was Eugene Merkel. Owner of one of the snappiest jalopys that has ever wedged itself into the school parking space. Gene is full of the vim, vigor and vitality that goes to make a popular Senior. He plans to be a mechanical farmer when he graduates and we all wish him success. JOSEPH MORRIS Activities: Gym Team; Executive Committee. Joe is an active fellow with a bouncing spirit. His timely jokes in History amuse the class and sometimes even the teacher. Joe likes outdoor life and sports, such as football, baseball and boxing. He is a member in good standing with the Sea Scouts, which probably accounts for the fact that he enjoys the sea and all types of sea eoing craft. He also takes an interest in the opposite sex. GRACE MILLER Activities: Band 1, 2, 3; Glee Club 3; Art Club 3, 4; Junior Prom Committee 3; Latin Club 2, 3, 4. Both Grace’s charming Derson-ality, and keen sense of humor have made her popular and fun to be with. Her outstanding ability in art has been admired by everyone. We certainly hope she will continue her studies in this field so that her work may he displayed and seen by everyone. DAVID MITCHELL Activities: Band 1, 2, 3, 4; French Club 2, 3, 4; Latin Club 1, 2; Glee Club 1, 2. David’s ambition lies in the field of aviation. With hut a glance he is able to determine the identification and the type of any plane which happens to be cruising in the air. Dave plans to he a pilot upon graduating and has made an excellent choice. He has grasped the fleeting trait of perseverance and initiative. We are sure that David will acquire what he desires in life. Good luck, Dave! JOAN MOORE Activities: Latin Club 1, 2; Spanish (dub 3, 4; Photography Club 3, 4. Sugar and spice and two delightful dimples; that’s what “Pat” is made of. A conscientious student, a lovable pal and an all around grand gal. Pat is hound to be successful in her chosen career, nursing. 30
