THERESA IZZO Activities: Band 1, 2, 3; Basketball 2, 3; Baseball 2, 3; Safety Counril 2. Theresa is a quiet, poised Senior. Always well-mannered and neatly dressed, she possesses a lovely smile and extends it frequently to everyone. As quiet as Theresa may seem, she is a good student and is always a lot of fun. Theresa is musically inclined which accounts for her three year membership in the hand. Her ambition is to become a typist. FROMAINE JACOBS Activities: Band 1, 2, 3, 4; Masquers 1, 2, 3, 4; Latin Club 1, 2, 3, 4; Spanish Club 2, 3, 4; Glee Club 2 3; Bowling Club 1; Library Club 2, 3; Tattler 2, 3, 4; Profile 4. “Fro,” as she is known to her fellow classmates, is amiable, ambitious and also a good student. As you can see from her membership in various clubs, she is an all-around girl with talent stretching into musical, dramatic, and cultural activity. She has developed her talent for music by playing the saxophone as well as the piano, and her skill in acting is marked by her participation in many plays. Her cultural art is proved by her enrollment in the Latin and Spanish courses. Ignoring these special skills. Fro has decided to be a psychiatrist. ARTHUR JOHANSEN Activities: Basketball 2; Soccer 2; Inter-class Basketball 1, 2, 3, 4. Arthur, better known as “Bo Bo” is tall, blond and an ardent basketball player. He enjoys all sports especially hockey and basketball. He is also an ardent reader. Interested in hand crafts, “Bo Bo” hopes to be a cabinet maker. This swell senior will do well in whatever he undertakes. GEORGE HOWELL Activities: Band 2, 3; Orchestra 3; Glee Cluh 2. George’s grave manner and seri ous way of speaking deceive no one. A keen wit with a quick smile, likable George is chiefly interested in sports, especially baseball. An ardent fan of America’s favorite pastime, George endlessly discusses the “ifs” and “huts” of many a game. He plans on going to agricultural school after graduation. RUTH KOTLER Activities: Latin Club 1, 2; Tattler 2, 3; Spanish Club 2, 3, 4; Glee Club 3, 4; Mixed Choir 3. “Ruthie” tall and attractive, is the friendly Senior who is usually found with Iris and Cookie. She likes dancing and popular music hut most of all loves children. Ruthie wants to become a kindergarten teacher and with her sweet nature will certainly become very successful. She is going to Wheel-ock University in Boston, Mass, to continue her studies. 2!

ANN GRENNAN Activities: Safely Council 4; Latin Club 1; Masquers 2, 3, 4; Glee Club 3, 4; Commercial Club 4; Art Club 3, 4; Vice-President Home Room 3. A magnetic personality and a warm smile contribute equally to making Ann a popular senior. She has a fine sense of humor and is always ready for fun. All sports are enjoyed by her including football, skating and basketball. Ann can’t decide between art school and interior decorating for her career, but with her artistic ability and eagerness to learn she is bound to succeed in whatever she undertakes. ELIZABETH HEALY Activities: Glee Club 1,2; Commercial (dub 1, 2, 3, 4; Masquers 1, 2, 3, 4; Bowling Club 1; Transcription Staff, Profile. “Sugar and spice and everything nice”—that’s what Ann is made of. She is blue-eyed, carrot-topped, and always an asset when it comes to gaiety and fun. Wit and a nonchalant air characterize this popular Senior. Ann spends her leisure time in listening to popular records and dancing. A commercial student, her ambition is to become a secretary. FRANCES GURNEY Activities: Latin Club 2, 3, 4; Glee Club 2; Art Club 1, 2, 3, Secretary 3; Literary Staff, Profile 4; Basketball 1, 2, 3; Home Room Secretary 3; Tennis 1; Baseball 1, 2; Field Hockey 1. “Fran” as she is most commonly called, is the kind of girl who would give a helping hand to anybody who needed it. Her scholastic efforts have been rewarded by success, if high marks are an indication of success. Fran likewise stands high in the friendship and esteem of her fellow classmates. With her pleasant disposition and willing band, we are sure that Frances will do well in the field of teaching, her chosen profession. GILBERT HALPIN Activities: Band 1; Glee Club 1; .Spanish 1; Tattler 2; Safety Council 4; Commercial Club 4; Bowling Team 4; Pres. Home Room 3. Gilbert is always on hand to keep things going. The quiet and meek retire when “Gil” steps to the fore. A great admirer of sports, you can always hear “Gil’s” voice leading the cheering at games. Never without a quick comeback, Gilbert has always been a favorite with everyone. He will enter the Navy after graduating. NANCY HALVORSEN Activities: Art Club 3, 4; Spanish Club 3, 4. “Nancy with the laughing face,” really describes this Nancy. Although she is quiet, this tall, blonde Senior, as her friends will verify, livens any gathering, and her presence brings out the happier side of a person. We believe that “Nan” will succeed in anything she undertakes, and her plans to enter a business school are no exception to this belief. 4

PEARL KUROWSKI Activities: Art Club; French Club; Profile Staff 4; Basketball Team. Interesting and attractive, Pearl is a popular girl with a merry and genial personality. She is always well dressed and well-mannered, and her high school work shows her to be a diligent student. Pearl is a good friend to everyone and with her pleasant character she has proved that she will be successful in whatever she plans to undertake. MILDRED LUCHIE Activities: Glee Club 1, 2, 3, 4. Mildred’s sincerity and honesty have made her well liked by everyone. She is deeply'interested in the problems of people and consequently has a great desire to do something helpful to foster better living among mankind. She has decided that nursing is an excellent outlet for her desires. We know that she will do well in her chosen profession. EVELYN LARSEN Activities: Band (Drum Majorette) ; Glee Club 2, 3, 4, President 4; Spanish Club 2, 3, Secretary 2; Safety Council 4; Tattler 4; Literary Staff, Profilf. 4; Commercial Club 2. Evelyn, our lovely blonde-haired Senior, i6 exceedingly popular. She is engaged in nearly all school activities and can always be seen with the band as head drum majorette. Despite all her activities, Evelyn still finds time for school work and is a good student. Enrolled in the Commercial course, she intends to be a secretary. REGINA LEHMANN Activities: Cheerleading 2, 3, 4; Captain Cheerleaders 4; Senior Play 4. Happy-go-lucky is Jean—Captain of our fine Cheerleading Squad! Bubbling over with vim and vigor, Jean always shows excellent performance in leading the cheering section at all sports events. Petite, blonde, and cute, she is one of the most popular girls in the Senior class. Her magnetic personality and friendly manner will always be remembered. Jean’s - spare time is taken up with thinking up new cheers and dancing. She’s a grand girl to know. CECELIA LESLIE Activities: Photography Club 3, 4; Art Club 3; Commercial Club 4. “Celie” is that cute little girl who came to us from Brooklyn. Although she hasn’t been with us very long, her cheery smile and easy manner have enabled her to make friends quickly. Very much interested in art, Celie would like to do something connected with it when she graduates from high school. 26
