MARILYN FEIN BERG Activities: Commercial Club 4; Photography Club 4; Transcription Staff, Profile 4. Curly brown-haired Marilyn, is a quiet, well-mannered and conscientious student. Always in a good mood, happy and serene, her friendly manner is admired by all who know her. Marilyn enjoys swimming and horseback riding. A student in the commercial department, her ambition is to become a bookkeeper or typist. The best of luck to a sweet girl—Marilyn! WILLIAM FENN “Gopher” Bill takes an ardent interest in his car and anything mechanical. He is usually seen working on it after school or helping one of the neighbors fix his family jalopy. Billy has a warm personality and a ready smile for everyone. After he graduates. Bill will probably continue in the field of mechanics. JOAN FORBES Activities: Glee Club 1, 2, 3; Latin Club 1; French (dub 2, 3, 4. Joan, an active Senior, because of her lively spirit is a welcome addition to any group. An enjoyer of sports, her favorites are swimming and sailing. Her ambition— to be a veterinarian. AMELIA EPERVARY Activities: Glee Club 1, 2, 3; Profile Business Manager 4; Spanish Club 2, 4; Vice-President 4; Captain Magazine Drive 4; Latin Club 1. Always well-mannered and friendly, Amelia is liked by all her classmates. Her lovely blonde hair and well-groomed appearance add to her attractiveness. Amelia loves dancing of any kind and swimming. Her favorite pastime is writing letters to “Pete.” A clerical bookkeeper is Amelia’s goal and I’m sure with her accuracy and ability she will be a success. MARION FORGIONE Activities: Latin Club 1, 2; French Club 3, 4; Tattler 3; Basketball 1, 2, 3, 4; Baseball 1, 2, 3, 4. Petite, dark-haired Marion is that Senior who loves to whistle. Because of this, she has been nicknamed the histler.” Her cheery smile, her merry spirit, and her constant giggle are something to behold. Marion is very active and excels in all sports. She has been with our Basketball and Baseball Team for four years and her petite-ness has in no way hampered her skill in these sports. It’s quite evident why Marjon wants to become a gym teacher and with her love for sports she will surely succeed. 2

 I NANCY DOWNING Activities: Glee Club 1, 2, 3; Alpha 3, 4; Latin Club 1, 2, 3; French Club 2, 3, 4. Nancy, although she is very quiet in school, is known to her friends for a fine sense of humor and a willingness to cooperate. She has always been a good student, as shown by her membership in Alpha. Nancy is talented musically and she is fond of all sports. However, her ambition is to become an interior decorator. GLORIA DUFFY Activities: Band (Twirler) 2, 3, 4; Commercial Club 2, 4; Bowling (Mub 1; Transcription Staff, Pro-FILE 4. One of the liveliest and peppiest girls in the class, Gloria could always be found at all school functions. Lovely to look at, with blonde hair and blue eyes, she is the possessor of a winning smile. She is to be congratulated on her excellence as one of the twirlers of our band. Gloria has a magnetic personality which combined with her neatness and sincerity will make her a success in her future ambition, which is to be a secretary. ELIZABETH DUNCAN Activities: Safety Council 1, 2, 4; Glee Club 1, 2, 3; Library (dub 1, 2, 3, 4; Tattler 4; Commercial Club 4; Ba.»kctball 2, 3. As a prominent member of our Safety Council, Betty does a fine job of keeping order in the halls. She participates in many activities and enjoys all sports. Betty’s interests are not one sided for she enjoys collecting china miniature animals, and also all types of records. She is particularly devoted to dancing, roller-skating and basketball. With her firm willingness to get things accomplished we are sure that Betty will be successful in whatever she undertakes. HERBERT EHMER Activities: Baseball 2; Basketball 3. Fazed by little, if anything, Herbie has a happy-go-lucky air about him that is never quite absent. Herbie is very fond of all sports, as his many friends will tell you. After graduation, he plan6 to enter the field of engineering. HENRY DUPRE Activities: Manager, Basketball 1; Home Room President 3; Junior Prom (diairman 3; Senior Ball Chairman 4; Executive Committee 4; Spanish (dub 2; Flag Bearer 4; Profile 4; Senior Play 4. May we introduce to you one of the most popular hoys in the Senior Class? His name is Henry Dupre. “Hank” has probably done more for our class than any other Senior, as is obvious by a glance at his activities. Everything he has undertaken has been a success and a credit to his initiative. His casual dress, his winning smile, his ready wit, and his complete naturalness have earned for him the honored title, “most typical of Glen Cove High.” After graduation, he may join the Navy. ALFRED GERMAIN “Al” has no enemies hut innumerable friends. He is one swell fellow likely to do well anywhere with anyone. Has a bit of a diplomatic nature, whieh makes him easy to get along with. The future looks bright for Alfred! RHODA GERMAIN Activities: Bowling Club 1; Glee Club 1, 2, 3; Commercial Club 1, 2, 3, 4; Basketball 2. Wherever there’s “Butch,” there’s “Rho.” Active in all sports and a seamstress in her own right, “Rho” is one senior who is the life of every party. Even though she loves to swim and enjoys sailing, Rhoda is really at her best when it comes to paddling a canoe. After her graduation, Rho plans to go to a Commercial school in New York in order to prepare for a bookkeeping position. RUTH GLOSS Activities: Latin (Hub 1, 2, 3, 4; French Club 2, 3, 4; Alpha 3, 4; Tatler 2, 3, 4; Home Room Treasurer 3: Profile 4. Ruth is a fine girl and an excellent student. She has taken an active part in the Alpha, Tattler and French Club. Her plans for next year are not definite at this time but we know that she will be successful in whatever she undertakes. Good luck to you, Ruth. You have the best wishes of us all. ANGELINA GIACINTO Activities: Latin Club 1, 2; Spanish Club 2, 3, 4; Photography Club 4; Baseball 2, 3. Angie is that cheerful and friendly Senior who is indeed a good friend to have around. She makes a hobby of collecting photographs and snapshots. Angie seems to be fascinated by football games and can always be found rooting for the home team. Since her main desire is to become a journalist, she will attend a College of Business Administration. WILLIAM GIWOJNA William is the quietest boy of the Senior class. No noise or rowdyism is ever heard from him. He tends his own business, is friendly to others and is always happv to lend a hand. The good nature of William wins him popularity with his classmates. He has not made up his mind as to what he wants to do upon graduating but since he has patience with all, he will succeed. As the seeing-eye dog is to a blind man — inseparable shall be success and William Giwojna. 12
