QENIORS 1 (H O tl. » I. .. , ft «1 afAAM r. RUTH J. RICHARDSON Senior Advisor Given birth in 1942, the class of ’46 has swept through four glorious years of high school to this long awaited day of graduation. Time has flown and now we must take leave of these beloved halls. Still, if we had it to do over, we wouldn't change a thing. This is what we mean: Take for instance, our Freshman year: the thrill of meeting new people and doing new things: the first taste of the glamour of football season, the excitement of basketball games: the Band, Glee Club, Tattler and all the other wonderful activities we were allowed to participate in. These made us feel the delightful sensation of growing up. How quickly we became Sophomores! This was a superb year! Now some of us owned cars and we found ourselves being whizzed from game to game through an unbelievably successful football season when our team was rated the best in New York State. Need we add that we, as Sophs, gave the Freshmen our share of heckling? The next year, we moved out of the low'er halls and proudly inhabited the sunny corridors of Junior Lane. Of course we remember the many impressive happenings of this, our last school year, at war. The huge success of our Junior Prom added much excitement to the last davs of this grand year. Now, our final and most glamorous year: the excitement of our very successful football season; the various sports dances we held; the grand Senior Ball; the wonderful Senior Play; selling theater tickets; the magazine drive; fun we had in working on the Profile. All these delightful experiences made our Senior year one of the most successful in the history of Glen Cove High School. Proud of ourselves as the first peacetime graduating class in four years, we will always remember these joyful days of our youth. Good-bye to dear Alma Mater! SENIOR EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE Standing, left to right: Joe Morris, Anthony Bruge$,Vice President Bill Donaldson, President Warren Unneberg, Velma Vogtlander, Doris Martino, Henry Dupre, Irene Doran, Dorel Myers.
