Our high school days are almost gone and with them carefree days, As we take the step into the world each in a different way. Our first year here was new and strange: the work was different too. The people here had different ways, including those we knew. And then 'things changed our second year: the pace had now been set. Faces looked familiar and everything was hep. Our Iunior year had now begun and we were filled with joy, When at the close of summer we saw each girl and boy. Our last year's here, our Senior year-The one we love the best. It now is almost ended: we're preparing for the test. And at the close of our school years we would like to say- "We hail our Alma Mater and in our humble way We give to you, as we end our task, from each and every one, Our sincerest wish for happiness from the Class of '5l." As a final act of elfin malice he breaks up his own secretary's love affair with the editor ot the local paper. by bring- ing on the scene a glamorous adven- turess as a rival attraction for the young journalist. Things are in a glorious mess but eventually right them- selves partially when some of the great celebrity's puckish schemes misfire, and himseli is moved by his secretary's ill-concealed woe to remove the blond menace to his happiness with the aid of an even more impish colleague, in a delightfully hilarious scene. Every- thing seems cleared up and he is just leaving when a bit of ice, the same piece, we are convinced, intervenes again and he is once more carried into the house for what seems certain to be a complete repetition, only more so. What a guest! The moral is: Be careful whom you have to dinner. It could be bad. Committee Naturally all entertainers like to be entertained themselves, so to bring this entertainment to the students of Glassboro High School is the assembly committee. The Assembly Committee plans far ahead to bring to the students the most enjoyable and educational programs possible. This year there have been such assemblies as a hypnotist, string quartette, school talent and various films. It has been agreed upon that schools should in- clude social life along with A, B, C's, and our As- sembly Committee has worked upon this theory to show us many phases of social life. Through the untiring efforts of this organization the games became known far and wide, oificials arrive on set a't the proper times, and we are pre- sented with our awards. This Council does more than meets the eye in stepping up our sports program. it MH. H. GINGRICH Adviser Standing, lelt to right: Charles Mac- Kannon, Richard Adams. Eye AWM inf HEAD MAIORETTE AND DRUM MAIOR Tony Lou Young, Glynn Wells A special feature in our school is the pep boosters. Glassboro is always well represented during half time on the field at the football games. The four color guards do a splendid job. They learn many new formations which thrill the spectators. Our high stepping majorettes and drum major also do a superb job. They put on many exhi- bitions that will never be forgotten. But what would these irriportant stars be with- out the aid of our band directed by Mr. Young- blood? The band does a marvelous job out there on the field. We salute you! Through the untiring efforts of Mrs. Bolnick and the cheerleaders. we had many peppy pep rallies this year. They also introduced many new cheers to the school. Same oi these were made up by the squad members themselves. Ianet Erdwein, that peppy little senior girl, was cap- tain, the 1950-51 squad. She was ably assisted by her co-captain, Ethel Szymanski. The squad did a marvelous job of promoting enthu- siasm and pep throughout the stu- dent body. S 4.5 T5 h .NNW J, fy' if 'ff L 1 Ur 'N Q' E 1.3 BB FY ff 32, gf fs J - U V if a x Nm if fu CSCI! ON THIS HAll0WED GROUND To the students of Glassboro High, American History is a living record of many great events that took place in the very area where their fine school is located. On this hallowed ground our Colonial forefathers fought tor the freedom and liberty which we as Americans hold so dear, and so the young men and women of this community have been aware from childhood of the patrio- tic achievements of New Iersey men and women in the Revolutionary War. All about them throughout their youth they have had constant reminders of this epochal period in our nation's history. Many spots have been marked by the state's historical associations and tourists make pilgrimages to these places to do them the reverence they deserve. With such inspiration. is it any wonder that New Iersey has done so nobly in the wars of more recent years and that its sons and daughters have responded so willingly to the call to arms. The rolls of honor at Glassboro High School and Owens-Illinois Glass Company speak for themselves.
