D0 YOU REMEMBER ... our first fire drill that we did 3 times . .. first day of ninth grade when Mrs. Cann led us through the hall with a pink balloon ... the nineteen times you got lost in one day when you were a freshman, or was it this year . .. the first year at GHS when everyone knew everyone else . . . when there weren't any dumb freshmen but us . . . picking the school colors, and mascot and song . . . band concert at the first carnival ... bean bag chairs in the IMC . .. the feeling looking in the bathroom mirror and it turned out to be a piece of sheet metal . . . when the upstairs cafeteria wasn't used . . . closing the smoking court once or twice a week . . . the originality of the marching band jeans and T-Shirts, marching to the tune of Let there be Peach of Earth for 5 straight parades . . . watching your favorite soap opera, or game show during study hall . . . when beans were flicked to the top of the cafeteria ceiling - and still remain . . . having colored braces because of confetti at the football games the day Writing Level IV marshmellowed Miss McFann the teachers strike .. . the cheerleaders football sketch before the A.I. DuPont playoff game . .. the year the hockey team scored only one goal when you could eat all 3 lunches .. . school dances and skipped records . . . rigging lockers with glasses of water and watching the person get soaked when they opened the locker . . . the wrestling team in their pajamas for a Christmas concert . . . sliding down the bannlster by the chemistry rooms . . . how it was if you spilled Mr. Legge's cup of coffee while driving .. . you flunked driving! .. . AFS Beauty Pageant . . . the times you CAN'T remember . . . how frustrating it was to get and keep guidance appointments . . . the drum squad got lost during a half-time performance . . . snowball fights on the smoking court . . . selling elevator passes . . . homeroom guidance . . . when soccer won its first game . . . hallway love affairs . . . a car covered by slurpees that attracted a swarm of bees, and the school calling the U. of Del. bug department Mr. Pletcher's jokes the rowdy band at football games that did more cheering than playing school pizza turning our rings 77 times .. . the kidnapping of Miss McFann's jellybeans . .. the pin-ups in the hall .. . the gruelling sports practices where you were turned every way but loose . . . Wolfman Sherman . . . the first day marching band had their uniforms . . . our rowdy rooting section at basketball games playing hide and seek with the teachers .. . shivering in the pool while waiting for instructions . . . lay Hopper's morning announcements Mr. Cooper's do you know what I mean? . .. the crazy girl with the gun .. . school plays - Up the Down Staircase, The Miser, Oklahoma, Dark of the Moon . . . all the snow days and no school . . . decorating Mr. Rehberg's leep . . . when you were first in the lunch line and last to get your lunch . . . Mr. Sherman's Mom . , . Mr, Stuart's stories in history class lockers pushed over and all the work to pick them up again .. . the tension, tears, and triumphs at the championship football game in '75 . . . when we wanted the prom past 12 . .. card games and spilled soda in the lounge . . . the soccer team's perfect record . . . when a pin-up found its way into a certain student teacher's conductors score . . . Mort and his basketball . . . the Christmas Concert of '76 when the audience was entertained by a big toe . .. the boy that almost streaked through the cafeteria .. . looking the wrong way into the moon in play practice . . . the time someone sat on the art room sofa and broke it . . . getting a little pink ball for being a good girl on the tennis team . .. humming through the National Anthem at the basketball games . . . the first and very successful prom by the class of '77 . . . the picture in drawer 44 . . .wonderfully witty Mr. Cater with his carnival capers . . . winning 12 straight volleyball games and then losing the last one 22 - 20 . . . the real nude pictures used during Oklahoma . . . the exciting places of Olean, New York, like the dikes, the backward hill and the wooden nickel a teacher telling a class that they needed tongueing lessons senior pranks Miss Steinberger's portrayal of Sally Barrett . . . Miss lones and her triggers . . . the mini skirt that outshorted all other mini skirts . . . how they turned down the heat so much we had to eat cold cuts for a week . . . the lavatory lockout . . . coming to Glasgow in ninth grade at 4' 11 and now graduating at 4' 11 . . . when you didn't have to sit in assigned study hall .. . the float that almost fell over at Homecoming .. . when we had toilet paper . .. the year nobody bought a Yearbook being frisked by Mr. Cook for a little blue card . . . our SENIOR LOUNGE, I don't . . . getting measured for cap and gown . . . all your friends on the staff and students at Glasgow High . . . THE CLASS OF '77, THE BEST CLASS TO GRADUATE FROM GLASGOW HIGH .. .We do! DO YOU . . DO YOU REMEMBER.
