The Lions stood the Orange and Black off for two periods with the half ending 6 to 0. Then in the second half, looking like young men in a hurry, the Bears ran over, around, and through the Lions to win the game 34-0. Bob Crouch and Lane Davis received the player of the week awards. The referee is as good as done for now. CLADEWATER VS. The crippled Bears with Don Earl Henley in command, fought hard, but to no avail. The team saw their 6-0 lead vanish as the red hot Indians tucked threeT. D.'s and the game under their belts. KILGORE Flying high, the Kilgore Bulldogs ripped into Glade- water just in time to ruin the l958 Homecoming with a 48-0 verdict over the battered Bears. The first "Dog" score was set up by a Bruin fumble inside the locals' own 20 yard line. After fl'lGT the Bulldogs scored at will. At halftime the score stood 34-0 in favor of Kilgore. The Bulldogs scored on their third offensive play of the game and from then on scored almost at will . Donnie Philbrick, end, and Bob Crouch, halfback, were selected as the players of the week.
