QUILL AND SCROLL The Quill and Scroll, a national honorary fraternity, recognized the journalistic work of seven girls and elected Dorothy Koster, Doris Knachel, Gertrude Dittmar, Geraldine Hudson, Mildred Butterworth, Mary 1ane Beste, and Virginia Essex to its membership. TRADE TACKLER STAFF The Trade Tackler, the school newspaper, is published each month by the students, and is printed by the boys at The Ottmar Mergenthaler School of Printing. The paper does much in creating a friendly spirit among the girls of the different trades, and keeps them informed of the activities of the school. The paper has won membership in both the Quill and Scroll Society and the Columbia Scholastic Press Association. ReginaGriihth . THE STUDENT COUNCIL The purpose of the Student Council is to develop the traits of self-control, self-reliance, and good citizenship and to establish friendly relationship between the girls. The most outstanding girl from each class is selected to be a member. Meetings are held each Thursday during the last period of school.
