They were Cindy Stein, Tanya Halbach, Nancy Benjamin, Susie Rapp, and Cherene Hanson. Each day of Homecoming week was given a special title and throughout the week students dressed accordingly Monday was labeled "black and white day." Tuesday became "hat and shoe day." Wednes- day students wore their bed sheets for it was proclaimed as "T oga day." "jersey day" was Thursday. And Friday was the traditional "dress up day." Thursday night the bonfire was held to bring school spirit to an "all time high." Friday afternoon Cindy Stein was crowned queen during the coronation ceremo- ny. The parade followed. Prior to the parade the senior float suffered a terrible accident. The float was planned to be pulled by lim Day's pet mules, however, the mules became spooked when they were being harnessed to the float and ran wild for miles while the float fell to pieces. The float, had not yet been judged, so its destruction was a disappointing tragedy for the senior class of 1981, who were attempting to win the competi- tion for the 3rd year. Homecoming became triumphant when the rockets whomped the Fonda Flyers 22-6. Homecoming end- ed with a dance in the multipurpose room. All in all the 80-81 homecoming was a grand event in which many cherished mo- ments will be remembered. -af' i, k -4 A S 41 -Q-. .
