Library assistants automatically become members of the club, and anyone else who is willing to sponsor some library project during the school year may become a member. The Gilmer Library Club is a member ofthe District Teen-Agers Library Club and the State Teen-Agers Library Club. The objectives of the Library Club are: l. To sponsor o greater interest among the students in the use of book and library service. 2. To stimulate reading interests. 3. To improve the library service of the school Librarians, GHS salutes you!

H enrietta Odom The purpose of any speech class is to develop the best that is in a person. In a speech class, personality, poise, and good speaking habits are developed. In a speech class, a person learns what the Able Man Qualities are, and tries to develop his personality accordingly. He learns to be polite, tactful, and considerate. He cultivates the habit of knowing what to say, and when to say it. The speech class of this year call themselves the Dramateers of '52-'53. They certainly exhibited their ability in the spring production, The Night of January l6th. Dramateers, GHS salutes you!
