The Gilmer BuckeveBand The Gilmer Buckeye Band owes its existance to the desire on the part of many Gilmer High students to participate in band activities. Perhaps the main and most important function of the Buckeye Band is to give students an opportunity to enioy music appreciation to its fullest extent by actual participation in the creation of music. The' Band also creates an ideal environment for a means of self-expression. In addition, the band's activities stress the importance of teamwork, cooperation, and coordination of mind and body. The Buckeye Band lends spice and zest to football games, Christmas parades and other events. It can be truthfully said that the GILMER BUCKEYE BAND is the best fand we are sure the loudestj auxiliary cheering group that the Buckeye teams havel Band, GHS salutes youl
