' 'll Class Histor Our big year the first year of high school began with twenty two members in the class Only eight members of the original class remained These were Michael Brannick James Carr Ph1l1p Lord Thomas Murphy Martha Musson, William Musson Sandra Sloan and Mary Lou Vanvranken Our class lost the members Lois Willey and Sandra Sloan before the end of the year but Phyllis Locy and Sally Powell joined us from other schools Our Junior year began with seventeen members The class of '59 reached its present number when Ruth Christian left Only five of the original members will be together to be graduated this Iune Our class officers for Freshman Year were President Martha Musson Vice President Thomas Murphy Secretary Sandra Sloan Treasurer, William Musson and Student Council representatives Mary Lou Vanvranken and Gordon Brannick Mr Hughes and Mr Smith were the class advisors Our money raising projects for that year were a bake sale, a Junior Carnival booth, a movie and the one act play Life Of The Party Our Advisors in our Sophomore year were Mrs Musson and 1VIr Hay The Class officers were President William Musson Vice President Richard Foster Secretary Janet johnson Treasurer Mary Lou Vanvranken, and student council, Cheryl Lawson and Gordon Branmck This year was a busy one with our class We sponsored a bake sale a Iunior Carnival booth two dances and a one act play Our Iunior Class officers were President Michael Branmck Vice President oil Cheryl Lawson and Gordon Brannick Mrs Musson and Mr Winsor were our ad visors Our Iunior year was fairly successful moneywise We began by having a talent show which was enjoyed by all The Junior Carnival which of course we sponsored, proved a success for our class and for other classes too Naturally there were the usual projects such as bake sales the movie Boys Town and a dance Finally Iune arrived and the Juniors sponsored our Junior Prom Our theme was Twilight Time The two cousins in our class Martha and William Musson reigned as king and queen Our final year arrived but the Seniors were desperately in need of money for their long awaited Senior Trip This year we chose the following class officers President William Musson Vice President Thomas Nolan Secretary Cheryl Lawson Treasurer Gordon Brannick student council Mary Lou Vanvranken and Michael Brannick ur very helpful advisors were Mrs Smith and Mr Meers Our magazine campaign began our fund raising projects It proved successful The stationery and Christmas card sales also helped We had a bake sale a dance the movie Delicate Delinquent the semi formal Christmas dance Snowflake Frolic We finally reached spring vacation and enjoyed our hard earned trip to Washington Thus ends our four high school years at Gilbertsville Central and we begin the first chapter in the history of our new role of growing up I U 1 I . 1 I P .
