Future Leaders I don't want to go to work today be- cause . . . I'm too tired. I have mega home- work. I wanted to go out with my friends to- night. The manager hates me. I don't feel good. The list was end- less with excuses, but did these sound familiar? Of course they did, because we were all guilty of doing it sometime. Why would we do it? Didn't we know we would get in trouble with our managers, not to mention our par- ents! Was it be- cause we would get a paycheck every two weeks? This important piece of paper helped to pay for gas, that special date, clothes, lunch and if we had any of it left over, it would become our play money . Aren't we forget- ting something? Of course! The places assi s 5 Nadi x er X ...V X R l RQ we worked like Taco Bell, McDon- alds, Burger King, Kentucky Fried Chicken, grocery stores like Basha's, Safeway and Fry's. Shanie Wells, 5 who worked at I: Tater Junction said, I was going to quit, but my boss was going to give me a raise, so I de- cided not to. London Fall Play . . Smash This is going to be so easy . . . act- ing in a simple school play . . . fno work, party time!! Some students thought this when they first en- tered the auditorium to audition for See How They Run, but their feelings soon changed. When they 22 Fall Play imagined themselves on a stage in front of millions of people, stage fright struck! Once the actors and actresses had been chosen, the action began. They had to work for 5 W weeks . . . 3 hours every day, even some lunches! ,QEH No I m not the reverend pleaded the Corporal Chve Winton to Sergeant Towers. q
