We live in a wel- ter of insurmountable math problems, term papers, indigestible food, and unfriendly lockers that refuse to open. In spite of deadlines and promises, misspelled mugs and uninhabitable locker rooms . . . we survive. We came as strangersg we shall leave as old friends. With spring comes new promises and in the midst of June some of us shall pack our books and quietly and suddenly steal away for temporary separation, while others will begin new lives outside these walls. 4 .5 "N ?'? .la 1.15.5 I HW is M I1 1 6 4 33- 5 'S 5-,..z:ze :Ti ,,,. From the first day of summer till their last prac- tices in February, these girls have put forth their best effort to arouse school spirit, and to give both the football players and wrestlers the kind of encouragement they needed when it counted most. This year's squad included Seniors, Deb Fetter - Captain, Pat Emerson Co-captain, and Pattie Karr: Juniors, Sandy Meligakes, Candy Fetter, LuAnn Hippensteel and Sue Rosensteel: Sophomores, Paula Bachman, and Sharon Robinson. These memories will forever remain with them: our adopted mother. Mrs. Reinhart. "Edith, will you please straighten up! , P.K. - I say whoa S-O-L-I-D" , "No Lou, you have to sit up front with us to the matches," "Debby Fetter, did you say there are three big fights?" , "Mr. Spaaatz, Patty. " "Oh, no. Sandy and Sue have come up with more chants: are they hard?", "Sharon, you're so quiet, are you still there?" . and "Boy weren't those birthday cakes good?" The season is over and the Seniors have cheered their last cheer for G. H .S. and the squads have departed making room for others. Good luck, to those who follow in our steps. May your years be as great as ours have been. 5 6 Hockeg Determination . . . Action . . . Did somebody say Hockey? . . . Other lettermen on the squad were Seniors: Perry Straus- baugh. and Brad Kime: Sophomores: Dan Heflin, and Phil Moore. Other Senior Harriers were Steve Filus, Chester Bloom, and Ray Burek. During the last three years the team has combined to total 34-2 in the Blue Mountain League and established itself as a League powerhouse- Some of the devastating wins by the Harriers were: Buchanan. 15-53: Scotland, 15-52: Greencastle, 15-49: Boiling Springs. 16-48: and Northern. 15-49. The Harriers were on their way to a second championship season when undefeated number one runner Chris Moore sustained an ankle injury! Still plagued by the injury. Chris returned to the line-up to nm against undefeated Shippensburg. Despite an all out team effon, the Harrier lost the meet and League Championship, 28-27, at the Hounds home course. The Harriers came on to win their remaining meets including a victory over arch-rival Camp Hill at the Lions home course. The season's highlight was when Tom Bender, a junior. set a new course record of 12:08.5 for t.he 2.4 mile course. The old record was 12:09.5. which wa set by Dick Boehner in 1973. At the Blue Mountain League Conference Runoff, medals were awarded to Tom Bender, Tom Kuehl. Dave Martin, and Chris Moore for finishing in the top 20 places. Coach Tom Crist anticipates another successful year in 1975 with the aid of five returning lettermen. Keep on running Harriers! The Warriors were led by Seniors Tom Kuehl, Bob Boehner, Brad Dehoff, Jun- iors Ed Temple and John Frealing. and Sophomores Bernie Johnson and Victor Perez. The J.
