DR. J. HOLMES SANGSTON This page depicts scenes from the testimonial banquet given by the teachers of German Township in honor of Dr. 1. llolmes Sangston who served as a school director in our district for more than thirty-two years. Dr. Robert Laing of Charleroi delivered the address Dad 'wltiomz of the evening. Group singing also featured the program. In recognition of his years of service and his contribu- tion to communty life, the teachers presented Dr. Sang- Stun with a plaque. Mr. Mario Tiberi, a representative of the Board of liducation, paid high tribute to Dr. Sangston on this occasion of his retirement and presented him with a beautiful watch. In addition to working for the advancement of edu- cation, Dr. Saugston has been a successful practicing physician, combining all the honored qualities of the old-time country doctor and modern practitioner. He is prominent in civic, church and fraternal organizations. VVe, the students, wish also to honor Dr. Sangston by dedicating this, the thirty-fifth edition of the Laureola to him, the man for whom our athletic tield has been named.
