-aL P- Youth for Life is a corporate orga- nization which fights against abor- tion. The aim of the group is to pro- mote the pro-life cause and to ensure an equal opportunity for life to all. Under the leadership of president Trish Novascone. caring students contributed their efforts in saving the unborn and supporting the pro-life movement by picketing every Tucs- day afternoon in front of a medical building which performs abortions. The goal for this year's Youth for Life group was to pass an amendment to the US Constitution which would protect human life in all stages. Though this goal was not achieved this year, pro-lifers are becoming more and more active and making their voice heard to US Congressmen. The ten-year anniversary of thc legal- ization ofabortion was commemorat- ed on January 22 at the State Capitol where thousands of pro-lifers, includ- ing about thirty from Gerard, gath- ered to make known their dismay. 45
