The sandy beaches and tropical environment of Puerto Vallarta seemed to be the ideal place for Gerard's Spanish speakers to practice their Espanol. Thirteen lucky students, Mrs. Labra, Mrs. Berges. and Miss Kochevar spent their Easter vacation on the shores of the Pacific soaking up the rays with their toes in the sand and their worries forgotten. But besides catching rays and waves, these Phoenieians took parachute and boat rides. and, most challenging and risky of all, dared to ride in the death-defying Mexican taxis. 2l

H a Bella Durmienten El principe Felipe, James Gilb, serenades his princesa, Diana Pulido. Malcfiea when she's not in a bad mood. This year's Spanish lV class performed the ever-popular Sleeping Beauty for parents, teachers, and students this spring. Though the actors and actresses were nominated for no awards, and probably won't go to Broadway for their production, their play was video- taped and an encore performance given at St. Tercsa's School. Even for those who do not understand Spanish, the play was entertaining and touching. The four fairies dance with their wands for the baby princess. 20
