St it Q, K, ' . L is Y ,,-, .w,- , YN tix Who am I? Where am I? What am I? 44, , . N Quiet! Artists at work. Redcoats, we're hopelessly devoted to you. K , 63 x A: ' f ,- i liz. 4 K. I i This year's band did exceptionally well de- spite their small size. Everywhere you went, games, assemblies, celebrations, graduation they were there cheering us on. The choir this year was also small, but, there was a lot of individual talent. This was appar- ent by the quality of their public perfor- mances. The Art Department and Home Economics classes contributed their part in developing other skills in Gerard students. Art is a spe- cialty field where innate talent can be trained and disciplined. Home Economics students learn first hand that what moms make look so easy has its difficult moments! , Here at Gerard there are many talents. The Fine Arts Department is in the business of developing these. Examples of good sports- manship and school spirit are lead by those who are out in front, but they are radiated by the people behind the scenes. The Band and Choir are parts of this de- partment that are out in front. Their example is radiated by the student body. It is in classes like Art and Home Economics that this spirit is developed and enhanced. This is what makes Gerard the great school it is. Look! It's the Boogie Woogie Bugle Boys. 47 ,J-sy. ,Q 'U .-'

'1 if Sm Qdlaflggjf 5 Reach for the stars. No pain, no gain. V The Physical Education program at Ge- rard tries to harmonize the basic aims of all education. The main purpose is to help each person develop all his inborn abilities to the fullest. It also helps them to look and feel better about themselves. This years' Physical Education classes have offered a variety of different activities. Throughout the year students have partici- pated in football, basketball, volleyball, soccer, gymnastics, weight lifting, track, baseball and even aerobics. The students who participated in these not only learned a lot, but they also had a lot of fun. Another achievement which helped aid in making P.E. more enjoyable was the new locker rooms. These provided quicker and more convenient means of changing and getting-ready for the next class. 49
