No doubt as you reflect on this past year at Gerard there will be various memories brought to your mind. BISHUP H O ORS REDCUATS WITH INITIAL VISIT Short is in these days. The 1981-82 school year proved to be a blossoming one for the rela- tionship between Gerard Catholic and Bishop Thomas J. O'Brien. Faculty member Fr. John Ebbesmier along with Ted Burr, John Mudd, Mike Dearing attend- ed the Bishop's ordination in Rome, where they received an au- dience with Pope John Paul II. Eight Gerard sophomores worked long hours setting up for the Bishop's installation at the ASU Activity Center in January. They, along with Mr. Henry Acedo, were rewarded for their ef- forts by a luncheon sponsored by Bishop O'Brien. The Bishop honored Gerard by saying mass on St. Patrick's Day. This was his first visit to a diocesan high school. During his sermon, he proclaimed that faith is really no good unless we work at it. Finally, our 20th Anniversary celebration was also blessed by Bishop O'Brien, who showed the Redcoats his continued interest. r l Be proud of the fact that we are Christians . . . Y0ur're 0-K
