John Phoenix This years J.V. baseball team, coached by Floger LeBlanc and Joe Guinsler, is off to a good start with a 8-1 record. The boys practice every day, for endless hours. Each boy knows that he has to give his very best in order for the whole team to work. A team must have a goal, if that goal is to be the best, then it must be the responsibility of each player to develop the skills neces- sary to be the best! The coaches practice hard with the boys to help them improve and to strive for excellence. Keep your eye on the ball. Strike 'em out, tst.

ff, ,W .. - z 2' ,,- 1 ' . f' Doug Bradley cuts at the ball. This year's Varsity Baseball team, already with an 11-2 record, has its goal set to make the playoffs. With a great display of both pitching and hitting, the competition has something to be afraid of. The pitching staff is led by Tom Sizer, Dale Scuderi, Flick Grimm and Tom Knudsen. Defensively, the Ftedcoats sparkle. Each player knows what to do when the ball is hit. Numerous double plays have been accomplished because of this. Varsity Coach, Jerry Stone, works on total concentration with the boys, making sure they know what to do in each play. This year's team looks like a good possibility for the playoffs. -+911 .ff ss. Nice game guys! The Varsity Baseball team doesn't have a lot of returning starters from last year, but the Juniors should help us out. We have good potential and we should finish very well.
