Playing J.V. this year taught me how to work with people in order to help them and to be helped. Karen Runninger Katy Kramer handles the ball with ease. This year's J.V. girls basketball team was a young and inexper- ienced team. Coached by Miss Johnson, the girls had a very rough season with a 3-13 record. The team consisted of 7 freshmen and 2 sophomores. Karen Flunninger and Katy Kra- mer were the two sophomores who helped the team with their experience from past years of playing. Each defeat was dis- appointing for the girls, but they didn't give up, they just tried harder. Miss Johnson hopes to have the same girls on the team next year, with the exception of Karen Ftunninger and Katy Kramer, who will be moved up to Varsity. J.V. warms up before the game. We had a lot of young and inexperienced players but we tried to make up for this by putting in a lot of time and hard work. Terri Lopez After losing many experienced girls last year, Coach Roger LeBlanc had to work with a young and inexperi- enced team. The practices were often hard and grueling, but always worthwhile as the girls learned some- thing new at each practice. This year was hectic and somewhat disappointing. Even though this was a hard season, the girls are looking forward to using the experience they gained for the upcoming season. Some outstanding efforts were put in by Seniors Terri Lopez and Susie Pulido. Terri ended the season with a total of 135 points and was named Second Team All Conference.
