Works Hard or Next Yearw Front Row: Marianne Crook, Andrea Pina, Eileen Nebrich, Katy Kramer, Donna Erhard, Second Row: Lee Paradis, Karen Flunnin- ger, Janet Watson, Ftodi Vehr, Michelle Malenfant, Margaret Jones- Ftyan, Sue Kovacs. Playing J.V. this year taught me how to work with people in order to help them and to be helped. Karen Runninger Katy Kramer handles the ball with ease. This year's J.V. girls basketball team was a young and inexper- ienced team. Coached by Miss Johnson, the girls had a very rough season with a 3-13 record. The team consisted of 7 freshmen and 2 sophomores. Karen Flunninger and Katy Kra- mer were the two sophomores who helped the team with their experience from past years of playing. Each defeat was dis- appointing for the girls, but they didn't give up, they just tried harder. Miss Johnson hopes to have the same girls on the team next year, with the exception of Karen Ftunninger and Katy Kramer, who will be moved up to Varsity. J.V. warms up before the game. Enthusiasm and team spirit over- came feelings of desperation as the Gerard girls volleyball team ended their season. Despite the many losses, the girls continued their hard work and deter- mination. This hard work put in during practice, brought the girls closer together as a team, on and off the court. The enthusiasm and hustle displayed by these girls will be a strong asset provided to the volleyball program in the coming years.
