Science covers the broad field of human knowledge concerned with facts held together by rules. The teachers in Gerard's Science De- partment are Mr. Roger LeBlanc, Mr. Dana McGehee, and Mr. Steve Threlkeld. Mr. Le- Blanc introduces the world of science to the freshmen. He also is an assistant coach for Varsity football, head coach of girls' Varsity Basketball and head coach of Junior Varisty Baseball. Then Mr. McGehee shows students the world of life and its surroundings in biol- ogy. This scientist is the moderator of the Backpacking Club, the Racquetball Club, and the Junior Class. Mr. Threlkeld broadens the students knowledge by teaching the advanced sciences, chemistry and physics and a biology class. The different fields of math offered at Ge- rard are Title I, Essentials of Math, Introduction to Algebra, Algebra I, Algebra II! Triginometry, Algebra ll, Geometry, Tri- ginometry!Analytic Geometry, and Calculus. The department includes Sr. Laurent Nugent, who is the chairman, Mr. Richard Curran, Miss Susan Johnson, and Mr. Gary Andorfer. The new Title I teacher is Mr. Mark Scalesi. Sr. Laurent teaches Algebra IA, IIB, Triginometry! Analytic Geometry and Calculus. Mr. Curran teaches Algebra IB, IIA, and Geom- etry fRemember always two things-Bisector Man and Mr. Graphy. A new member of the Math Department this year is Miss Jonnson. She teaches a variety of classes-Essentials of Math and Algebra IA, B, and C. She is also the Junior Varsity coach for girls' basketball.
