Bottom Row: Val Rivas, Amy Giltner, Gail Sharko, Paul Hamra, David Wasinger. Racquetball was started by senior and President of club, Paul Hamra with the help of Robert Topping, a Brophy stu- dent. This is the first year of the club which has twenty-five members. The offi- cers are Vice-President Joyce Winng Sec- retary Karen Gradyg and Treasurer Gail Sharko, Racquetball is not a varsity sport, but rather an intramural competition. Some goals of the club are to promote good health and to get other high schools to start Racquetball Clubs. President Paul Hamra at Coronado. I 103 Anytown, Boys and Girls State ill! x .1 N Anytown members are T. Knapp, P. Gallagher, S. Saunders, and H. Bartel. Patty is also Senior Vice-President Harry is the Junior Class President. P. Flunninger and J. Novascone are from State. y , in K , ... it .P 1 They're certainly not picture shy. The Anytown delegates who were chosen to represent Gerard were Patty Gallagher, Sheila Saunders, Harry Bartel, and Tom Knapp. The delegates spent from June first to June seventh in Prescott with all different types of ethnic groups where they learned about prejudices and other cultural inadaquacies. Some of the instructors were policemen, lawyers, and businessmen. In Anytown you learned who you are and you learned to respect other people and their feelings. They also became aware of the overall look of life: what is happening and what should happen. Boys State and Girls State were held at NAU. They learned about the justice system and what courts are all about. Both organizations separated into different cities. Both Girls and Boys State were held for one week.

One of the main trips taken this year was to Four Peaks. The group went four-wheeling, hik- ing, and climbing as they en- joyed the mountain scenery. For the most part, this year's events consisted of one day excursions. The members are a fun crowd who enjoy excite- ment and having a good time.
