tlers S IC Spirit for ICC O Pro aids 4-3 cd 72 Even before the season of wrestling began, the Matmaid cheerline was forming to promote the team. After a week of preparation, the group was chosen. Ten girls were picked to rep- resent Gerard. Each girl has many responsi- bilities. They are much the same duties as their counter-parts for foot- ball and basketball. Cheers are .prac- ticed, posters are made, money mak- ing projects and special treats are planned for each wrestler. Also many times the girls are called upon to keep score and time for a -match. Ka- ren Vandenberg was a big help in keeping the records straight for Coach Christensen. Miss Terri Savarese was the mod- erator for the line this year. She spent a lot of time to aid the girls in a very successful season. A majarity of the girls on the line are Seniors and will be leaving this year-the rest are Sophomores.
