From the heginning of work upon the 1937 BLUE PRINT, the aim of the efaff hee been to present to the student hody a hoolc which will have as much interest when viewed years from now as when its pages are first opened. Ir was felt that in order to accomplish this pur- pose, contents should he considered of prime importance, and theme secondary. Therefore you will find the theme rather a casual one, depicting campus characters and scenes from the artistqs and photographerqs viewpoint. To facilitate the make-up of the hook, a seasonal basis has been chosen for dividing the con- tents. We are very proud to say that within this edition of the BLUE PRINT will he found one of the first attempts ever made to utilize still-life direct-color photography in a college annual. We feel rather hold in using a process which is still in its infancy even commercially, hut firmly believe that the results call for no apologies.
