The course com- bines the theoretical and practical phases of the study of ceramics and the depart- ment is well equipped with up-to-date test- ing laboratory, clay machinery room, kiln room and machine shop. The student ac- quires the basic knowledge which would enable him to prospect for raw materials and carry them through the process of manufacture to the finished product. The degrees of Bachelor of Science in Ceramic Engineering is awarded at the successful completion of the four-year course. Gilbert H. The course serves to give the theoretical and practical means of advancing the pur- suit of this important science.
