The club was especially honored in being asked to sing the Benediction on the feast of Saint Margaret Mary and also the lienediction closing Retreat. Since there were so many new mem- bers, the club was divided into two sections. Some began jumping soon and others reviewed their riding. All year was spent in preparation for the Horse Show, which is always a big occasion. A cup was given on Cup Night to the girl who showed the most improvement, and with that another year closed. As a motto we chose, Ad astra per asperan, lTo the stars through bolts and barsl, This club was started with Mitzi as president, Mary Louise as secretary, and Mary Cheseldine, committee-chairman. to instill in its members a greater appreciation for Rome and her culture.
