Its characteristic motivating force is the association of members with the Blessed Virgin Mary. Per- sonal sanctity and apostolic work constitute the double purpose of the Sodality. Toward this lirst end, personal sanctity, our Sodality has been active in promoting Sodality Communion on Sundays, daily recitation of the Rosary in the Chapel, and participation in the living Rosary in October and May. In achieving the second purpose, apostolic work, our Sodality has sponsored such activities as monthly visiting and entertainment at both Saint Ann's Orphanage and at the Catholic Home for Aged Ladies, securing subscriptions to the Sodality magazine Action Noir. enrollment of members in the Apostleship of Prayer, a stamp nany, A. Under the heading of Sodality stem four sub- divisions, committees in which a Sodalist actively participates. These include the Apostolic Com- mittee, which has already been mentioned: the League of the Sacred Heart, a crusade of prayer which many of the Sodalists enter for the purpose of more completely carrying out the Sodality's motto, To jesus through Mary g the Eucharistic Committee which cares for and prepares the altar for daily Mass, and the Publicity Committee, which informs the members of the most recent Catholic books, movies, and pamphlets. By their participation in these activities, the members have tried to live up to the ideals and teachings of the Sodality, and in so doing have truly earned the tilte of Children of Mary . 28
