The day of graduation seems very far away when a class enters senior high school; but the three years go by so quickly one is left with the feeling that there was not enough time to do all that should have been done. A school like George Washington offers so many opportunities that it is often difficult to make choices with regard to subjects and activities. For a majority of students these years have been happy, busy, and profitable. For others, unfortunately, more time may have been spent on personal en- joyment than on the self-discipline that makes for success. However, the very fact that nearly nine hundred students have joined the ranks of the alumni this year is proof that there has been accomplishment; and hopefully, there has also been a realization on the part of most as to what needs to be done to achieve responsible citizenship. I am happy to extend congratulations to the many members of the classes of Fall 1964 and Spring 1965 who, having made their choices, are ready to move on with confidence to the next phase of their lives. May I also express my appreciation for the enthusiasm, co- operation, and good work done by class and student body officers. Deserving of my gratitude and yours are those hard- working sponsors Mr. Lai, Mr. Ferrero, Miss Matheu, and Mr. O’Day, whose constant concern for class and school in preparing and supervising the many activities of these past three years has contributed so much to their success and to your pleasure. Finally, I would like to thank Miss Parsons and Mr. Pagano for the truly dedicated service they have given to the students and faculty of George Washington. Without their advice, support, and understanding my assignment here would have been a most difficult one. Instead, my experiences from beginning principal to a veteran of three years have beenTnteresting; educational, certainly; and entertaining — never dull, you may be sure. t-t ■4 'J ) l Ldxi.
