Here too. ot Washington, we have such a democracy, our Washington Cabinet. Originally, the Washington Cabinet was just a group of girls; one from each registry. It worked so well that Mr. Schmaelzle adopted it for the whole school. It acts os an advisory board to the Principal and the Executive Council. The Washington Cabinet meets each Tuesday morning at 8 a.m. in Room 235. Every registry has on elected delegate who takes questions and suggestions from his registry. It is then his duty to bring them to the Cabinet where they ore discussed until on agreement is reached. The results are then reported to the registry by the delegate. Although the Cabinet has no administrative power and con moke no policies, opinions of the student body are brought to an understanding with the faculty, os the Washington Cabinet is a typical cross-section of the student body representing all personalities. The Washington Cabinet gives a means of expressing opinion, clears up misunderstanding, and advises the Executive Council. SPRING—Row 1 (left to right): Dennis Lantermon, Sue Suomelo, Danise Blue.
