Executive Council George Washington High School, like every other democratic body, has its law- making branch, the Executive Council. The Council hcs as its duties the apportioning of school funds, the passing of by-laws to supplement our Constitution, and the g. ant- ing of awords and honors in the name of the student body. Another important function of the Executive Council is proposing Constitutional amendments. Our revised Constitution, proposed by the Council and accepted by the students, provides for a more truly democratic Council and for Class Committees to share the duty of school self-government. Presided over by the student body president and advised by Miss Selig, the Council makes possible our democratic government. SPRING—Row 1 (toft to right): Sidney lewin.
