Row I (Left to Right): Kay Marsen, Tania Penslcy. Helen Stoker. Row 2: Dick Meyers, Bernard Sinton, Wayne Bowker. Spring Class History The Spring graduating class can look with pride on their record at Washington. Their en- thusiasm and cooperation in upholding Wash- ington standards and in adding to the spirit of the school were noteworthy. Planting trees in the Veterans' Memorial Court and keeping the grounds and sidewalks surround- ing Washington clean were the projects under- taken by the class in the high tenth grade; the next term the class took over the task of clearing the stairs, halls, and stadium. A Junior Day that will long be remembered was staged by the class when they were high elevens. Given on Valentine's Day, the pro- gram was woven around the court of the King and Queen of Hearts. An evening dance on Junior Day was initiated then. During the fall term of 1947 a football team composed mostly of members of this class played undefeated through the greatest football season in Washington’s history. To end their high school years the seniors had a Senior Game Day and presented The Hope of Humanity for their Senior Day; the program illustrated that the different peoples of the world can live in peace. Row I (Left to Right): Lorraine Malnick, Evelyn Barber, Cam Justeson. Row 2: Wayne Bowker, Olga Davidoff, Judy Sterne, Erni Fricke.
